Hi, I’m Mon.

I’m a yoga instructor based in sunny Santa Monica, CA. I specialize in teaching Vinyasa and Yin Yoga and am passionate about making all bodies and levels feel welcomed in a yoga practice!

Since discovering my personal practice back in 2013, I’ve grown my passion into a flourishing yoga community with amazing people who care about their bodies and mental wellbeing. It’s one of my greatest joys to provide a space where you feel at home in your body through the practice of yoga — it’s certainly where I feel the most strong and safe myself.

As a part of my commitment to give back, 20% of all class proceeds go to organizations that support mental health and social justice. When you take a class, you can feel good knowing you are caring for yourself and the communities around you.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me here or on Instagram! I’m looking forward to seeing you on your mat soon.

Yoga Certifications

  • I launched my yoga teaching career the summer before my senior year of college. I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Barefoot Yoga covering anatomy, physiology, asana (body posture), pranayama (breath), meditation, alignment principles, yoga philosophy, Sanskrit, teaching methodology, teacher ethics, business skills, and practice teaching.

  • When I moved to San Francisco, I enrolled in an extensions program to kickstart my teaching career in a new city. I chose the 50 Hour Power Yoga Extensions Program through CorePower Yoga because of its rigor and well designed curriculum. Here, I solidified my knowledge in hands-on adjustments, sequencing, theming, and yoga ethics.

  • The weekend before I moved to LA, I completed 16 Hour Yoga Sculpt Intensive Training Program with CorePower Yoga. Yoga Sculpt is a class that incorporates hand weights and high-intensity cardio bursts for a maximum calorie-burning effect. This squat-filled weekend taught me new breathing and cuing techniques, how to build a killer playlist, and effective but simple poses and exercises to share with my students.

  • As a part of my continued growth as an instructor, I receive private coaching from an incredibly talented instructor that has informed my teaching since my CorePower yoga training in 2019. My goal is to continuing learning how to deliver the best yoga teaching experience to all my students, remain inspired in my sequencing and cueing, and keep myself accountable to be filled in my own personal yoga practice.

Always Growing
